Maxine Marie Wood

Maxine Marie Wood, 84, of Petersburg, died on August 4, 2005 at 10:00 am at Sunny Acres Home in Petersburg. She was born on February 26, 1921 in Petersburg to Leslie And Faye Durrett Miller. She married Herschel S. Wood on February 16, 1946 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Sam (Twrenia) Wood of Petersburg, a sister, Helen (William) Ortgessen, two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2005 at Oakland Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Rev. Gene Blissett will be presiding. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Menard County Rescue Unit or the Petersburg Fire Department.
