Mazie L. Nunn

Havana, IL - Mazie L. Nunn, 82, of 616 W. "A" Street in Havana passed away at 12:15 pm Monday, March 29, 2010 at her residence. She was born May 3, 1927 at Bath, IL the daughter of Frank and Dolly Holmes. She married Perry L. Nunn on July 27, 1944 in Havana and he died July 26, 1989.

Surviving are one daughter, Joyce (Wayne) Kolves of Havana, one son, Terry (Bernita) Nunn of Bath, two grandsons, Patrick Nunn and Heath Nunn; one granddaughter, Darla and three great grandchildren; Dalton, Annie and Isaiah. Also surviving are three brothers; Larry, Jimmy, and Richard Holmes all of Bath; two sisters; Florence Williams of Havana and Francis DeFord of Petersburg, IL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Paula, five sisters and two brothers.

She was a beautician for many years and later worked for Stahl’s Furniture in Havana. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Kilbourne and later attended the Southern Baptist Church in Havana.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thurs., April 1, 2010 at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana conducted by Rev. Don Full. There will be no visitation.
