Mildred B. Zillion
1913 - 2006
Mildred B. Zillion, 93, of Tallula,
IL, died at 6:56 pm on Friday, December 1, 2006 at Menard Convalescent
Center in Petersburg. She was born on August 4, 1913 in Tallula, IL to Ezra
and Louann Woodrum Masten. She married Joseph Zillion on April 7, 1931 at
St. Lukes Catholic Church in Virginia, Il, he preceded her in death on
January 11, 1982.
She is survived by two daughters,
Nancy (husband Herb) Wesselman of Tallula, IL and Dorothy (husband Chuck)
Bramlett of Shelbyville, TN; two brothers, Chester (wife Barbara) Masten of
Plainfield, IL and Jim (wife Barbara) Masten of Tallula, IL; three sisters
Emma Pettit of Petersburg, Mary Rieken of Petersburg and Jeanne Wankel of
Tallula; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She is also
survived by her companion, Glen Brewer of Tallula, IL
Her husband and one brother precede he
in death.
She was a member of St. Augustine
Catholic Church in Ashland, IL, the Tallula American Legion Auxiliary,
Tallula Senior Citizens, and the Menard County Home Extension.
Funeral mass will be
held on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church
in Ashland, IL, with Msgr. Wright officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday,
December 5, from 5 to 7 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial will
be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia, IL. Memorial contributions may be made
to the Tallula BLS, Tallula Senior Citizens or masses to St. Augustine Catholic
Church. Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg in charge of arrangements.
