Mildred E. Adams (1910 - 2005) Mildred E. Adams, 95, of Easton, Illinois died at Maple Ridge Care Center in Lincoln, November 14, 2005 at 2:35am. She was born on October 8, 1910 to Chance and Nina (Brent) Stone in Oklahoma. She married Roy H. Adams June 8, 1932 in Havana, Illinois. He died June 12, 1998. She is survived by: one son Ronald E. Adams of Easton, Illinois; 3 sisters, Nela Sielschott and Erma Davis both of Havana, IL and Jesse Stone of California; one brother, Cecil Stone of Chandlerville, IL; 2 grandchildren, Donald Lee Adams of Lincoln and Millie Kathleen Hawkins of Oakland, Oregon; 3 great-grandchildren Dustin and Sara Adams of Lincoln and Daniel Hawkins of Oakland, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 brothers: Richard, John and Frank Stone; 2 sisters: Verla Busch and Mabel Johnston and one grandson. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Easton Baptist Church and the Royal Neighbors of America. She worked as a farmer until she retired. Services for Mrs. Adams will be on Wednesday November 16, 2005 at 2:00pm at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City with one hour visitation prior to service. Rev. Don Hoover will officiate. Burial will be at Walker’s Grove Cemetery near Easton following the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of St. John’s Hospital for the Prairie Heart Institute. |
