Millie E. Blunt

1958-2010

Millie E. Blunt, 52, of Easton, IL passed away at 8:44pm on December 17, 2010 at Mason District Hospital in Havana.  She was born Feburary 15, 1958 the daughter of William and Alice (Heath) Carlson in Peoria, IL.  She married Kirk Blunt on July 19, 1989 in Havana, IL. 

 She is survived by her husband Kirk, one daughter Stacy (Otha) Hull of Barry, IL, two sons: Terry VanMeter of Mason City, IL and Sean VanMeter of Easton, IL.  Also surviving are five grandchildren: Kodie VanMeter of Easton, IL, Dylian Hull of Barry, IL, Shyanna VanMeter and Keynan VanMeter both of Mason City, IL and Brenden Hull of Barry, IL.   She is also survived by two sisters: Barb (Ron) Schnoor of Easton, IL and Irean (Jim) Baughman of Havana, IL, and two brothers: James (Lylla) Carlson of Havana, IL and William (Joy) Heath of Pomona, CA. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, one brother and her best friend Terry VanMeter. 

Millie was a loving mom, grandma and wife.  She was a great friend to many.    She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and her dogs (Spike, Kirby and Molley).  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 6:00pm at the Mason City Community Chapel.  Rev. Curt McCallister will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 5:00pm.  Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund or to Easton BLS – First Responders.
