Nate Morris

Nate “Nathaniel” Lee Morris, 29, of Petersburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 3:15 p.m. at his residence. He was born on November 14, 1980 in Moberly, MO to Russell and Cynthia Hays Morris. He married Jodi Nation on June 18, 2009 in Menard County.

He survived by his wife, Jodi of Petersburg; a daughter, Joselyn Nation-Morris of Petersburg; parents, Russell and Cynthia Morris of Lawrenceville; grandparents, Elenor Morris and Gene Hays of Lawrenceville; two brothers; Grahm Morris of Lawrenceville and Mark (Vanessa) Geitl of Chicago; sister, Annelise Morris of Berkley, CA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Kim Nation of Tallula; brother-in-law, Frankie (Jessica) Nation of Tallula; sister-in-law, Ruth (Rhashedd) Armour of Tallula; and grandfather-in-law, Joseph Simpson of Tallula.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Franklin Morris and grandmother, Patsy Hays.

Mr. Morris was a member of First Church of God in Springfield.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:00 am at First Church of God in Springfield. Pastor Jay Kroft will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery in Tallula.
