Nelda Lucille Henry 1920 - 2006
Chandlerville, IL - Nelda Lucille Henry, 86, of
Chandlerville, IL passed away at 12:30 pm Thurs. Oct. 5, 2006 at the
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born March 20, 1920 in
Chandlerville the daughter of Fred and Nellie Fielden Kirchner. She married
Ralph Henry, July 30, 1938 in Bowling Green, MO and he preceded her in death
June 12, 1993.
She is survived by one son, Fred (wife: Judy) Henry of Chandlerville; 5 grandchildren, Dena (husband Eldon) Leinberger, Diana (husband Matt) Vaughn, Delana (husband Todd) Cloninger, Lonnie (wife Ann) Henry, all of Chandlerville and Carrie Joe (husband Kevin) Donnan of Ashland; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Muriel Reddish, and two brothers, Richard Kirchner, and Paul Kirchner, all of Virginia, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and one great-grandson. Mrs. Henry worked as a receptionist at Dr. Gordon Stephens office in Beardstown for many years and clerked at Volmer’s Grocery in Chandlerville before retiring. She was a member of the Chandlerville Christian Church, the Chandlerville Order of Eastern Star, HCE, Birthday Club, Dorcus, and Women’s Club. Her hobbies were embroidering, watching all sports, and she was an avid Cardinal fan. She also enjoyed keeping records for Chandlerville Alumni Association. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006 at the Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville conducted by Rev. Jim Waterman. Burial will be in the Chandlerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chandlerville Christian Church, Alumni Association, or the Chandlerville Cemetery.
