Ninevah Watkins 1932 - 2007
Ninevah Watkins, 75, of Petersburg, died on Friday, September 14, 2007 at Menard Convalescent Center in Petersburg at 12:21 p.m. She was born on May 16, 1932 in Gordon, West Virginia to Hannon and Loueddie New Green. She married Ted Watkins on April 13, 1963 at the Petersburg Christian Church. She is survived by her husband Ted of Petersburg; four sons, Daniel Dale (Linda) Boyer of Petersburg, Timothy (Debbie) Boyer of Petersburg, Michael (Tella) Boyer of Petersburg, Ted Lee Watkins, Jr. of Petersburg, IL; two daughters, Patricia Kay (Roy) Garrison of Girard, and Leighann Gessling of Petersburg; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and one sister, Joevelyn (Tomas) Boyer of Petersburg. Her parents, a son Gary Boyer and two brothers, Wade and Kenneth Green, preceded her in death. She retired from Y & S Hershey Company in Moline after 17 years. She was a member of the New Salem Assembly of God Church of Petersburg. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Pastor Rick Fleenor will be officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Farmer’s Point Cemetery in Tallula.
