Norma Jean Smith

1928 - 2010

Norma Jean Smith, 82, of Havana, passed away at Mason District Hospital in Havana at 6:35 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010. She was born July 25, 1928 in Spaulding, IL to Albert and Francis Solomon. She married Lowell Smith on February 4, 1996. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2010.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Jim) Rowden of Mechanicsburg, Sharon (Ivan) Padget of Pleasant Plains, stepson, Ronnie (Ida) Smith of Havana as well as nieces and nephews and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ernest Solomon.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Havana Church of Christ. She had worked at the Hobbs Factory in Springfield for over 35 years on the assembly line.

Graveside services will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010. Warren Hughes will officiate.
