Mason City, IL – Nyal Miller, 77, of Mason City died at 12:45 pm Friday, June 8, 2012 at the scene of an accident on US 136 approximately 6 miles east of Havana, IL. He was born August 12, 1934 in Kilbourne the son of Paul and Ellen Miller. He married Ruth Rogers March 19, 1954 in Kilbourne and she survives.
Mr. Miller was a retired farmer and Member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in rural Kilbourne.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Larry Dean (Carla) Miller of Easton, and one daughter Linda Lorraine (Sheldon) LaDew of Waynesville, IL. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Josh Miller of Havana, Stacey Miller of Lincoln, IL, Wesley Boehl of Wellsville, N.Y., and Shannon Boehl of Clinton, IL; seven great grandchildren and one sister, Delores Reeves of Memphis, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at the Kilbourne Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Shannon Boehl. There will be no visitation and memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A funeral luncheon will be held at the 1st Baptist Church in Havana, following the graveside service.
