Ornetta D. Perce

1930-2012

Ornetta D. Perce, 81, of San Jose died at 7:10pm on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at her son’s residence in Manito.  She was born on May 21, 1930 the daughter of German and Grace (McCubbin) Skaggs in Salt Creek Township.  Ornetta married John Perce on September 2, 1951 at Rev. Becks Parsonage in Mason City, he survives.

Mrs. Perce is also survived by three sons: Dean (Marjorie) Perce of Manito, Robert (Debi) Perce of Hartselle, AL, and Mike Perce of Pekin; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is two sisters: Mildred Sheary and Margaret Lynn, both of Mason City.  She is preceded in death by one brother.

Mrs. Perce was a member of the Mason City United Methodist Church.  She worked at Sears & Roebuck, Lynn & Fink, retiring from Eaton Corporation and then 11 years for the Mason County Health Department.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  There will be a private family burial of ashes at a later date.  Memorials may be made out to the San Jose EMT or Hopedale Wellness Center.  Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose is in charge of arrangements.
