Patricia Ann Wellnitz

1934 - 2010

Patricia A. Wellnitz passed away April 22, 2010 at the Prairie View Care Center in Lewiston, IL. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Patricia was born in Peoria, IL on April 23, 1934 to Phillip and Celeste (Merry) Rubnich. She married Louis Williamson in Peoria, IL. Louis preceded her in death. Together they had 11 children.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Steven and Jerry Williamson, seven brothers and one sister. Patricia is survived by her children Larry, Terry (Carol), Kenneth, Gary Williamson, Janet Alvarez, and Diana France all of Peoria, IL, Kim Allen (Doris) Williamson of Rock Island, IL, Kathryn (Juan) Huerta, and Ronald Williamson of Canton, Texas. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Prior to retirement, Patricia worked at Saint Francis Medical Center in food services. She worked hard all of her life caring for and raising her children and grandchildren. She preferred walking to riding or driving. On any given Friday or Saturday you could find her at Bernadine’s Beauty Shop getting her hair done.  

Patricia’s family would like to extend their thanks and blessings to the staff at Prairie View Care Center for the love and care they have provided to her during the past three years of her life.

Memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to the Prairie View Care Center Lewiston, IL or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Cremation will be arranged by Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, IL.

Memorial Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 116 Northeast Perry Avenue Peoria, IL, on Friday April 30, 2010. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 with a memorial service immediately following. Reverend Glen Ioder officiating.
