Paul "Snoball" Eudaily

1930-2011 

 

 Paul "Snoball" Robert Eudaily, 81, of San Jose passed away at 9:04 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at his residence. He was born February 1, 1930 the son of James and Leota Beard Eudaily in Mason City, IL. He married S. Jean Hurley on January 23, 1957 in Pekin, IL. Jean preceded Paul in death on January 26, 2010.

Paul is survived by five children; Brenda (Dan) Hieronymus of San Jose, Paul (Kim) Eudaily of South Pekin, LeeAnn Eudaily of Dumfries, Virginia, Ina (Mike) Murray of Pekin and Lisa (Andy) Herbst of Tremont, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Barb (Jess) Fahnders of Pekin and one brother, Clarence "Toots" Eudaily of California. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sisters and one brother.

Paul served his country proudly during the Korean War in the United States Army. Paul was a member of the American Legion Post 1269 of San Jose and was also a volunteer on the San Jose Fire Dept. He was a machinist for Corn Products in Pekin for 27 years, retiring in 1981. Later, Paul and Jean owned and operated Snowballs ice cream shop in San Jose for 8 eight years. Paul loved entertaining young and old alike with his magician skills.

Public Graveside Services will be at Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Allen Payne will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be left to the San Jose Fire Department.
