Pauline T. Whetsell

1918 - 2006

Pauline T. Whetsell, 87, of Havana , formerly of Durant , OK and Omaha , IL ,  died at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Mason District Hospital in Havana . She was born December 11, 1918 in Hugo , OK to John Henry and Lena C. (Bowden) Strnad. She married F.R. Whetsell, March 23, 1935 in Waurika , OK . He survives. 

Mrs. Whetsell is survived by her husband of 71 years; three sons: Paul Ray (Martha) Whetsell of Talladega, Alabama; Jerry Wayne (Wanda) Whetsell of Bartonville, IL; Bobby Earl (Carolyn) Whetsell of Havana; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Loreta Farmer and two brothers L.D. and Travis Strnad.

Mrs. Whetsell and her husband were members of the Havana Church of the Nazarene. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana . Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana . Rev. Troy Horne and Rev. Sue Roat will officiate.
