Pauline W. Hackman

1920 - 2010

Pauline W. Hackman, 90, of Havana, passed away at Mason District Hospital in Havana at 3:03 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010. She was born June 24, 1920 in Fulton Co., IL to August and Catherine (Bryant) Oest. She married Vernon Hackman on July 20, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2009.

Mrs. Hackman is survived by one son, Jerry (Christina) Hackman of Havana, two grandsons, Shane (Kelly) Hackman of Bloomington and Troy Hackman of Delavan and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Emma Raguet of Chillicothe, Katherine Oest and Clarice Oest, both of Havana. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, Wilbur, Raymond and August Oest and one sister, Vernice Oest Wallace.

Mrs. Hackman was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was also a Life Member of the VFW Post #6408 Ladies Auxiliary. She had worked as a clerk at Super Savers in Havana.

Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Sidney Davis will officiate.
