Pauline E. VanEtten 1915 - 2008 Pauline E. VanEtten, 93, of Havana, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 10:35 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2008 at the Havana Health Care Center. She was born May 5, 1915 in Mason County to James and Unice (Sears) Davenport. She married Eckard Grant VanEtten on October 1, 1940 in Springfield. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1997. Mrs. VanEtten is survived by one brother, Miles Davenport, of Havana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Edgar Davenport and two sisters, Constance Lynn and Bernice Peters. Mrs. VanEtten was a member of the Havana 1st Baptist Church. She had owned and operated her own Beauty Salon in Springfield until she retired to Havana in 1994. Graveside services will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Rev. Sidney Davis will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Havana Health Care or to the 1st Baptist Church. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
