Riley J. Milby

1915-2010

Riley Joseph Milby, 95, of Mason City passed away on May 8, 2010 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home.

He was born March 13, 1915 in St. Louis Mo., the son of William Warren Milby and Maude Mullen Milby.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, LeRoy Milby. 

He married Pauline Tucker Milby in September 1943 in Alhambra, California.  She survives.  He is also survived by a daughter Lynne (Jim) Onken and a grandson Benjamin Riley Onken.  

Riley loved the outdoors.  He was a great tennis player and his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing and gardening.  He was an avid reader.  He was also a lifetime Yankee fan.  He graduated from Mason City High School in 1937.  He retired from Cutler-Hammer in 1980. 

Graveside services will be held 12:00pm at the Mason City Cemetery on May 11, 2010 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City.  Nash Shawgo will be officiating. 

Memorials may be made to the Mason City Area Nursing home and Pets without Parents of Easton, IL.
