Robert Richard Andrews

(1948-2011)

Robert Richard Andrews, 63 of Mason City, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 4:20am at the Mason City Area Nursing Home where he had resided since 1996.  Robert was born on March 3, 1948 in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Richard E. and Mary (Vozenilek) Andrews.

Robert is survived by his brother Kenneth L. Andrews, sister-in-love Mary Ann, nephews, Kevin (Kristi) Andrews and Kurt (Beth) Andrews.  Also surviving are great nephews, Ben, Luke and Jacob of Mason City.  He was preceded in death by parents.

Robert grew up in Jones County, Iowa, attending schools in Wyoming and Monticello, Iowa.  He was very active at the nursing home Activity Department.  He was a member of the Prairie Bells Bell Ensemble.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Mason City Cemetery.  Bill Boyce will officiate.  Memorials may be left to the Mason City Area Nursing Home Activity Department Special Fund.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
