Robert Otto

Robert Eugene Otto, 84, of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:30 p.m. at his residence. He was born on August 7, 1926 in Petersburg to Harm and Kathryn Farrow Otto. He married Lola Hannibal on February 23, 1946 in Petersburg.

He is survived by his wife, Lola of Petersburg; two sons, Harry (Ruth) Otto of Hudson, FL, and Robert “Pete” Otto of Springfield; daughter, Diana (Wendell) Hamlin of Lincoln; brother, Herschel “Red” (Betty) Otto of Alexander, VA; sister, Nora Sneyd of Springfield; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Otto ran the Menard Lockers in Petersburg for 30 years. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. Gary Sneyd will be officiating.
