A. Robert Friedrich 1929 - 2008
Havana, IL - A. Robert Friedrich, 79, of Havana passed away at
5:15 am Wed. Oct. 29, 2008 at his residence. He was born April 9, 1929 near
Topeka, IL the son of C. Arthur and LaVona Bell Friedrich. He married Marjorie
Bohm March 25, 1956 in Havana and she survives. Mr. Friedrich was a member of the Havana Church of Christ,
Havana Post #138 American Legion, he had served on the Community Chest Board,
Camp Students for Christ at WIC, was formerly a 4-H judge and worked for many
years on the Mason County 4-H Fair. He was a petroleum specialist for Farm
Service for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; John
(Mary Jane of Adair, IL) Friedrich of Havana and Mark (Denise) Friedrich of
Havana. Four grandchildren, Jeanette, Andrew Robert, Justin and Ben also survive
along with one step grandson, Mat Blakeley. Two brothers, Wayne (Mary) Friedrich
of Morton and Lloyd (Judy) Friedrich of Havana and three sisters, Sylvia (Leon)
Rowe, Fay (Dale) Turner and Janice (Delbert) Wilcoxen all of Havana survive. He
was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Megan. Services will be held at 11:00 am Sat. Nov. 1, 2008 at the
Havana Church of Christ conducted by Rev. David Upchurch. Burial will be in the
Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 pm
Friday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made
to the Mason District Hospital Building Fund. Online condolences may be sent to
