Roger Davis

(1956 - 2010)

Roger L. Davis, 54, of Petersburg, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 28, 2010.

 Roger was born in Springfield on July 16, 1956, son of Catherine and Cleo Davis.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Don Davis and Larry Davis.

Roger was a wonderful husband and father and is survived by his wife, Rhonda, and children, Nina and Korrie Davis and his parents, Cleo and Catherine Davis of Petersburg. He is also survived by two brothers, Royce (Debbie) Davis and Rodney (Debbie) Davis, three sisters, Joyce Davis, Janice (Chuck) McLaughlin, and Anita Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Petersburg. Roger worked for the City of Petersburg for many years, serving as the water superintendent for the past 18 years.

Local arrangements are being handled by Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 11:00 am.
