Ronald "Marty" Turasky

(1965 - 2010)

Ronald “Marty” Turasky, 45, of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 1:27 am at OSF St. Joseph Hospital in Bloomington. He was born on February 12, 1965 in Springfield to Charles “Ron” and Marcia Greenhalgh Turasky. He married Lisa Germeraad on August 8, 1992.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa of Petersburg; a daughter, Samara Turasky of Petersburg; a son, Tobin Turasky of Petersburg; parents, Charles “Ron” and Marcia Turasky of Petersburg; two brothers, Ricky (Amy) Turasky of Petersburg and Chris (Stacy) Turasky of Des Moines, IA; and nieces and nephews, Brandt, Eli, Beau, Kaycee and Chloe, all of Petersburg.

His grandparents preceded him in death.

Mr. Turasky worked as a member of Local IBEW #193 as an electronics technician. He was a member of Ansar Shiners and Clinton Lodge #19.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11:00 am at First Christian Church in Petersburg. Rev. Jon Bormann will be officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral services. Masonic rites will be held at 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
