Ronnie Joe Evans

Ronnie Joe Evans, 49, of Mason City died at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital at 2:18 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2006. He was born in Peoria, IL on December 15, 1956 to Russell J.  and Bessie (Wadley) Evans, Sr. He married Jill Tisdale at Christ Lutheran Church in Mason City on September 10, 1976. She survives.

He is survived by his mother Bessie Womerdorff of Mason City, his wife Jill Evans, of Mason City, two daughters; Michele Anne Evans of Mason City and Sheena Jo (Eric) Ratliff of Wilmington, IL: grandson; Jason David “Little Man” Flentge, Jr. of Mason City and another grandson who is on the way. Also surviving are five brothers: James Nathan Evans of Lincoln, IL; Rodger Lloyd (Jerry) Evans of Lincoln, IL; David Joseph Evans of Beason, IL; Rusty Evans, Jr. of Mason City; Joshua Mark Evans of Mason City and one sister Patricia Jane (David) Bridgeman of Peoria; one step-brother James Franklin Womeldorff of South Pekin and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, one daughter Amy Renee Evans, his grandparents, step-father Lewis Womeldorff and step-brother Robbie Womeldorff.

Ronnie worked at Darling National, formerly National By-Products, in Mason City for the past 30 years.

Funeral services for Mr. Evans will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2006 at Christ Lutheran Church in Mason City. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. Burial will be at Mason City Cemetery following the services. Rev. Kirk Cunningham will officiate.
