Rose Marie Guinan

1956 - 2007

Rose Marie Guinan, 51, of Petersburg, died on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at her residence. She was born on January 31, 1956 in Springfield to Edward and Rita Myers Guinan.

She is survived by three sons, Les (Julie) Wankel, Tim (Kendra) Wankel, and Kyle Wankel all of Petersburg; her parents, Edward and Rita Guinan of Petersburg; a niece Kelly (Mike) Drapeau of Zionsville, Indiana; one nephew, Jason (Mary) Cline of Mt. Prospect; a sister, Mary Pat (Walter McCutcheon) Cline of Coventry, Rhode Island; two grandchildren; two great nieces; one great nephew; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She had worked for the State of Illinois for 19 years, her last position was Executive Assistant for the Secretary of State.  She was also a realtor with the Real Estate Group. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Petersburg.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Petersburg at 10:00 am. Father Don Knuffman will be officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 3, 2008 from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
