Ruby Marie Scherren 19 - 2006
Ruby Marie Sherren, 65, of Petersburg died Saturday October 28, 2006 at Menard Convalescent Center. She was born March 6, 1941 in Petersburg, IL. The daughter of Otto and Arminda Bitters Schafer. She married Robert Sherren in 1958; he preceded her in death along with one son Rick Sherren. Mrs. Sherren was a homemaker living in Petersburg for 65 years; she was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are two daughters, Joyce and David Wasilewski of Petersburg, and Diana Pratt of Decatur, one daughter in law Carol Sherren of Atterberry, Il., five grandchildren and one great grandchild. One sister Arleen Conn of Springfield. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 2, 2006 at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Pastor Robert Shook will be officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday November 1, 2006 from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sherren family. |
