Rudolph Adolph Nordhausen

Rudolph Adolph Nordhausen, 93, of
Havana, passed away at his home at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012. He
was born September 18, 1918 in Bath, IL to John and Mary (Osing) Nordhausen. He
married Lorraine Hahn at St. John’s Lutheran Church in December 25, 1951.
Mr. Nordhausen is survived by his
wife, Lorraine, of Havana, daughter, Mary Marshall of Havana, five
granddaughters, Amanda Marshall Lucas, Andrea Marshall, Adrianne Marshall,
Alaina Marshall and Alexa Marshall as well as two great-grandchildren, Arian
Marshall-Lucas and Archer Marshall-Lucas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers,
Adolph and Herman Nordhausen and one infant sister.
Mr. Nordhausen was a member of St.
John’s Lutheran Church at Bath. He served in the US Army during WWII in Germany.
He farmed his whole life until retirement in February of 2011.
Visitation will be held on Monday,
January 23, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana.
Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Bath at 11:00
a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Burial will follow the services at St. John’s
Cemetery. Rev. Brian Lesemann will officiate.
