Russell Marvin Dearing, Sr.

(1938 - 2006)

Russell Marvin Dearing, Sr. of Mason City, died at his residence at 2:43 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2006. He was born on August 13, 1938 in Beardstown, IL to Russell and Delphia Lowe Dearing. He married Lorena Hendricker on June 7, 1975 in Petersburg. She survives.

Mr. Dearing is survived by three sons: Russell (Kari) Dearing Jr Riverton, Thomas (Kelly) Nolting of Cabot, Arkansas, and Michael (Vicki) Hutchinson o f Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Melvin (betty ) Dearing. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one granddaughter.

Mr. Dearing was of the Baptist Faith. He was also a life member of the UAW Local Peoria #974, the NRA, American Motorcycle Association, and the Security Agency.

Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 2006 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., also at the Hurley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg. Rev. Dustin Fulton will officiate.
