Russell Taapken

Russell Henry Taapken, 81, of Chandlerville died June 5, 2005 at his residence. He was born Setember 28, 1923 in Cass County, IL to Henry and Stella Wilson Taapken. He married Gladys Price in Cass County, IL on December 13, 1948. She preceded him in death.

He was a heavy equipment operator for 50 yrs. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Surviving is a daughter, Sharon Conklin of Pekin, IL, 3 sisters, Roberta Curry of Petersburg, Helen MaGee of Springfield, Ethel Jones of Springfield, a brother, Delbert (Alice) Taapken of Petersburg, and one Godchild, Richard Hinrichs.

Services will be Wed., June 8, 2005 at the Hurley Funeral Home at 11 am. Visitation will be held Tues, June 7 from 6-8 pm.
