Ruth Claypool

(1910 - 2006)

Ruth Claypool, 95, of Greenview, died February 22, 2006 at Sunny Acres Home in Petersburg. She was born on December 28, 1910 to John J. And Clara DuCoin Henry. She married Francis Claypool on July 22, 1931 in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by one son, Byron (Judith) Claypool of San Juan Capistrano, CA, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters, and one brother.

She was a member of the Greenview United Church. She was active in the Greenview Community on numerous organizations, including Women's Fellowship, Fort Nightly Club, and Woman's Club. She was a book keeper for Tripp's Hardware in Greenview and she also worked for the Greenview School District as a cook.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service. Cremation rites have been accorded.
