Ruth Virginia Sellers 1922 - 2006 Ruth Virginia Sellers, 84, of San Jose, died at 4:56 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2006 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home. She was born January 28, 1922 in Allen’s Grove Township in Mason County to Albert Leslie and N. Myrtle (Willis) Sellers. Mrs. Sellers is survived by one sister-in-law, Marge Sellers; nephew, Steven Sellers of and his two sons: Maxwell and Scott Sellers, all of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents who she lived with and cared for, and one brother, James Emerson Sellers. Mrs. Sellers was a member of the San Jose United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Women’s Society. She was a 1940 graduate of San Jose High School. She had worked for Bergners in Peoria for 36 years, where she was a filing clerk and had risen to the head of her department. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and craft work. Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Rev. Stephen King will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, St. Jude’s Hospital or to the Mason City Area Nursing Home Activity Department.
