Ruth G. Sisson

1918 - 2008

Kilbourne, IL - Ruth G. Sisson, 90, of Kilbourne passed away at 2:10 am Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born April 3, 1918 in Mason County the daughter of Jesse James and Pearl Louise Koch Lynn. She married H. Franklin "Frank" Sisson April 23, 1938 in Kilbourne and he passed away Aug. 30, 2000.

Mrs. Sisson was of the Baptist Faith, and an avid bowler. She formerly worked at Bonnett’s Turkey Hatchery in Havana, Hodgson Lumber Co and kept the Kilbourne Fire Department clean.

Surviving are two daughters; Deanna (Gerald) Butler of Kilbourne and Sandra Ebert of Springfield; two sons, H. Franklin "Bud" (Doris) Sisson of Kilbourne and Robert (Lyn) Sisson of Springfield. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren along with two sisters, Shirley (Dick) Barton of Easton and Mary Louise (Jack) Cochran of Bloomington and one brother Harry (Meze) Lynn of Easton. Mrs. Sisson was preceded in death by her parents, husband two grandchildren and three brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008 at the Bath Cemetery in Bath, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kilbourne Fire Department. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hurleyfh.com
