Ruth Jane Worthington 1921 - 2008
Ruth Jane Worthington, 86, of Petersburg died on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 4:03 am at Sunny Acres Home in Petersburg. She was born on July 31, 1921 in Springfield to Harry and Mabel Colson Sapp. She married Wm. “Bill” Bryan Worthington in April of 1981, he survives in Petersburg. She is also survived by one daughter, Linda Oxford, of Springfield; one grandchild and one great grandchild. Mrs. Worthington had attended Rock Creek Presbyterian Church and had worked for the State of Illinois, retiring after over 20 years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
