Sarah I. Guinan

(1911 - 2005)

Sarah Izetta Guinan, 93, of Petersburg, died July 30, 2005 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on October 14, 1911 in Petersburg to William and Dora Mae Lee Pantier. She married Herbert Daniel Guinan. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church in Petersburg. She owned and operated The Snack Shack in Petersburg for 49 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Justice - Kasten of Petersburg, and Margaret (Dale) Juergens of Petersburg; a son, Robert Guinan of Cuba, MO; a sister, Jean Allen of California; and 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 3, 2005 at the Hurley Funeral Home with Father Monsignor Carl Kemme presiding. Visitation will be August 2, 2005 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery in Petersburg.
