Shane M. Parnell

Shane M. Parnell, 29, of Springfield, formerly of Petersburg, died on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 6:23 a.m. at his residence. He was born on March 19, 1978 in Springfield to David and Sherry Kolkhorst Parnell. He married Wendy Harney, she survives in Columbus, OH.

He is also survived by his mother, Sherry (husband Jeff) Sampson of Petersburg: his father, David Parnell of Springfield; a sister, Ashley Parnell and a brother, Dustin Sampson, both of Petersburg; a grandmother, Barb Kolkhorst of Springfield and a grandfather, George Parnell Sr. of Springfield. 

Mr. Parnell had worked in construction.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg.  Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg is in charge of arrangements.
