Sharon M. Hardy

1940 - 2010

Sharon M. Hardy, 70, of Havana, passed away at Emma’s Haven of Rest in Havana at 2:57 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010. She was born August 30, 1940 in Oconto, WI to Richard Riley and Charlotte Ellen (DeWitt) Rugg. She married Charles Hardy at the 1^st Church of the Nazarene in Havana on September 20, 1958.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by her husband Charles, of Havana, two sons, Ron (Terri) Hardy of Astoria, Rick (Jean) Hardy of Petersburg five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Owen Rugg of Springfield, IL, Richard Rugg of Goodyear, AZ, Duane Rugg of Milwaukee, WI and sister, Bonnie Jean Rugg of Chatham, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gerald, grandson Christopher and daughter, Cheryl  Ann.

Mrs. Hardy was a member of the 1^st Church of the Nazarene in Havana. She had spent several years taking care of the elderly in Havana.

Funeral services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Revs. Sue Roat and Duane Turley will officiate.
