Sheryl "Sherry" Lee Justice

1954 - 2010

Sheryl "Sherry" Lee Justice, 56, of Havana, passed away at Mason District Hospital in Havana at 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010. She was born July 30, 1954 in Jacksonville, IL to Cliff and Nudeen (Vaughn) Holtmeyer. She married Wilbur Russ Justice in Lincoln, IL on September 7, 1973.

Mrs. Justice is survived by her father, Cliff of Havana, husband, Russ of Havana, daughter, Teresa Justice of Middletown, two sons, Travis and Trevor Justice of Havana, four  grandchildren, Cyrus Martin, Chalin Jones and Cheyanne Jones, all of Middletown and Tehya Jordan of Havana, as well as one brother, Rick Holtmeyer of Havana. She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.

Mrs. Justice was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana. She enjoyed playing bingo. She had worked at Wal-Mart in Lincoln for five years and later for Holtmeyer Auctioneer Service in Havana for several years.

Funeral services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Fr. David Whiteside will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
