Shirley Ann (Combs) Lynn 1925 - 2007 Shirley Ann (Combs) Lynn, 82 , of Easton, died at 5:50 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield on Sunday, September 16, 2007. She was born April 7, 1925 in Sand Ridge Twp. In Menard Co., IL to Virgil and Berniece (Smith) Combs. She married Jesse Jr. Lynn on September 28, 1946 in Springfield. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2003. Mrs. Lynn is survived by three sons: Ronnie (Becky) Lynn of Easton, Greg (Lisa) Lynn of Easton, Jeff (Lori) Lynn of Pekin and one daughter: Nesa (Rich) Brauer of Petersburg. Also surviving are two brothers: Hobart Combs of Havana and Jim Combs of Petersburg; nine grandchildren: Cara (Ben) Roland, Jared and Jesse Lynn, Ashleigh and Whitney Brauer, Bryce and Kylie Lynn and Morgan and Nicole Lynn; ten nieces, fourteen nephews and one great-granddaughter Lydia Roland. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother S.M. Combs of Springfield. Mrs. Lynn was a member of the Easton United Methodist Church, Easton Women’s Club and the Golden Acres Home Extension. She was retired from the St. of Illinois, Secretary of State’s Office. After retiring, she worked at the Mary Bryant Home for the Blind in Springfield. Funeral services will be held at her church on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Burial will follow the services at Easton Cemetery. Rev. Al Sample will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or to the Mary Bryant Home for the Blind.
