Shirley Imig

1924 - 2010

Shirley Imig, 86, of Bloomington formerly of San Jose, IL passed away October 14, 2010 at Heritage Manor in Bloomington, IL.  She was born August 18, 1924, the daughter of William Edgar and Vannie Lee Romine Woll in San Jose, IL.  She married Henry William Imig on December 27, 1949 in San Jose, IL. He preceded her in death.                                                

Surviving is one son: Jan Paul (Gale) Imig of Normal, IL, two grandchildren; Rachel and Brian Imig and one great grandchild; Analee Imig.   She is also survived by one sister; Glenna Smith of San Jose.  She was preceded in death by; one sister, two brothers, one daughter and one son; Ken (Kim) Lee Imig.

Shirley was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.  She also served on the Election Board for over 40 years. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be Monday night from 5-7 also at St. Luke's Lutheran Church.  Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose.  Pastor Derek Riddle will be officiating.  Memorials may be left to St Luke's Lutheran Church.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
