Springfield, IL - Stanley Cecil Denton, Jr, 58, of Springfield, IL died on May 26, 2006 at his residence. He was born May 25, 1948 in Danville, IL the son of Stanley and Juanita Cade Denton, Sr.

Mr. Denton was a disabled veteran serving in the US Army in Viet Nam. He is survived by two daughters, Carrie (Chris) Fleer of Havana; Christy (Ed) Hibbs of Athens, IL; three grandchildren and one brother, William J. Denton of Ottawa, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Fri. June 2, 2006 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm Thursday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
