Susie A. Schaad

1921 - 2011

Susie A. Schaad, 90, of Chandlerville, passed away at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia at 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. She was born January 11, 1921 in Sherman, IL to John and Anna Curry.

She is survived by her companion and dear friend, Bob Lane of Chandlerville, sister, Opal Beckers of Mt. Pulaski, daughter, Barbara (Harry) Shover of Albuquerque, NM, son Kenneth (Phyllis) Schaad of Griggsville, as well as one granddaughter, Kathleen (Ken) Stynen of Reno, NV, three grandsons, Steven (Tina) Beck of Edgewood, NM, Kenny (Kimberly) Schaad of Bluffs, IL, and Andrew Schaad of Griggsville, six great-granddaughters and two great grandsons. Also surviving are many friends.

Susie retired from Capitol Records in Jacksonville. While retired in Chandlerville, she served as an election judge and delivered meals on wheels for several years. Susie was a member of the Sangamon Valley Presbyterian Church since the early 1960s.

Funeral services will be held at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Chandlerville Cemetery.
