Suzanne M. Long

(1948 - 2006)

Suzanne M. Long, 57, of Peoria , IL died at 4:58 a.m. , Monday, January 30, 2006 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria . She was born November 12, 1948 to Henry and Phyllis (Landes) Nall in Springfield , IL . She married Jeff Long on September 10, 1967 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Havana . 

Mrs. Long is survived by her husband Jeff of Peoria, one daughter Stephanie (Walter) Lipe of Peoria, one son Matt (Lori) Long of Indianapolis, IN and one grandson Matthew Cole Louderman of Peoria . Also surviving are one sister, Marilee Nall of Peoria and one half-sister Iretta Walker of Creve Coeur , IL ; and aunts and uncles Mrs William ( Dixie ) Meegge of Bath, IL and Ruth (Major) Landes of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bath , IL . She was a volunteer at P.A.R.C. (Peoria Area Retarded Citizens), the Alzheimer’s Association, the Sterling Middle School Hearing Impaired Program and at Senior World. She was a former employee of the State Bank of Havana . She was a caregiver for her sister Marilee for the past twenty-eight years. She was the valedictorian of the 1966 graduating class at Balyki High School . She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as interior decorating. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana . Visitation will be on Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Fr. James Fedosuk will officiate. Burial will be at Bath Cemetery in Bath , IL .
