Thelma Marie Tackman (1911 - 2005) Thelma Marie Tackman, 94, of Mason City died at 10:18 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home. She was born on July 24, 1911 to Jesse and Mary (Bowersock) Frakes in Mason City. She married Albert Tackman on August 4, 1928 in Havana, IL. She is survived by three daughters: Helen Whitmer of Bloomington, IL, Carol (Jerry) Nelson and Sue (Dave) Hellman, both of Mason City; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1986, one brother, Preston Frakes, and son-in-law Kenneth Whitmer. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Mason City. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at Mason City Cemetery. Rev. James Sprinkel will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Mason City Area Nursing Home. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements. |
