Also surviving are five sons, David (Kathy) Snider, Richard (Brenda) Snider, and Edward Snider all of Manito, IL; Harmon (Pam) Snider and Ted (Diane) Snider of Havana and one daughter, Dora Golden of Pekin, IL. Fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one sister Doris Walbraunt of Tallahassee, FL and a twin brother, Fred (Phyllis) Snider of South Pekin, IL also survive. Mr Snider was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a son-in-law, Danny Golden.
Mr Snider worked for over 30 years at American Distillery in Pekin in the blending department. He later worked as a custodian at the Havana Jr. High School for 10 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII. He was a member of the Good Shepard Baptist Church in Manito.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday May 20, 2006 at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. There will be no visitation. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Good Shepard Baptist Church. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
