Thelma N. Anderson, 80, of Mason City died at 3:30pm on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home.  She was born on November 2, 1929 the daughter of B.R. and Vera Gwynetha  (McLeod) Harris in Lucerne , MO.  She married Bob C. Anderson on May 27, 1951 in Chillicothe , Mo at the First Christian Church.

 

Survivors include her husband Bob; two daughters: Susan (Jerry) Norris, Patricia (Mike) Culbertson, and one grandson, Clayton Edward Culbertson all of Mason City . 

 

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First Christian Church in Mason City , Daughters of the American Revolution  (Past Regent), and Prairie Chicks Red Hat Society.  For a brief time she was a school teacher and was an Avon Representative for many years. 

 

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A memorial service will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City on Wednesday September 29 at 2:00 p.m.with Nash Shawgo officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior. Memorials may be left to The Activity Fund of the Mason City Area Nursing Home.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
