Lorraine L. Tomlin

1920-2008

Lorraine Lucille Tomlin, 88, of Easton died at 12:20 a.m. on Sunday, December 07, 2008 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.  She was born March 30, 1920 the daughter of Harmon and Grace (Boyer) Wahlert in Rural Mason City.  She married Jack Tomlin on December 7, 1947 in Pekin, IL.  He survives. 

Also surviving is one son: Steve (Candy) Tomlin of Rural Mason City; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Tomlin enjoyed going to the Easton Café for her morning coffee and conversations.  Lorraine and Jack spent many winter months in Naples, Florida.  She was a member of the Easton United Methodist Church where she was also part of the women’s club.  Lorraine also belonged to the Easton Neighborhood Club. 

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Eason United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City from 5 to 7.  Rev. Al Sample will officiate.  Memorials may be made to her church or to donor’s choice. Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.
