Tyler Helton

(1994-2005)

Tyler William Helton, 11, of San Jose died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.  He was born January 5, 1994, in Springfield.

Survivors include his parents Larry Jr. and Lori Blunt Bale of San Jose; one brother, Jarod Helton; one sister, Courtney Helton; and his grandparents; Larry and Pat Bale of Woodbridge, Va.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; William and Myrna Blunt. 

Tyler was a student at Illini Central Middle School.  He attended First Baptist Church of Mason City and was active in Mason City/Illini Central Little League baseball and Cub Scouts. 

Services for Tyler will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City.  Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.   The Rev. H. Curtis McCallister will officiate.  Burial will be in Easton Cemetery in Easton. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tyler Helton Benefit Fund, in care of Mason City National Bank or Camp Coco.
