Velma Mae Richardson 1929 - 2010
Velma Mae Richardson, 80, of Lewistown, formerly of Havana, passed away at Graham Hospital in Canton at 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010. She was born September 22, 1929 in Havana to Edward and Velma (Caulkins) Kelly. She married Arthur Dean Richardson on November 15, 1951 in Havana. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2004. Mrs. Richardson is survived by three grandchildren, Jason, Joseph and Kelly. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 12 brothers and sisters and two sons, Richard Ira Parton and Gary Daniel Parton. Mrs. Richardson had worked as a commercial fisherman, a caregiver and as a waitress in Havana. Her grandson said, "You are lucky to have one person ever in your life like our grandma." Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 1:00 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
