Velma M. Stuhmer

1925 - 2006

Velma M. Stuhmer, 81, of Petersburg, IL, at 3:16 pm on Monday, November 27, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on March 27, 1925 in Tiffin, IA to Samuel and Minnie Greene Knoles. She married James Vernon Ames. She later married Edgar K. Stuhmer. He preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by one son, Vernon E. (Janey) Ames of Petersburg; two daughters, Patricia M. Gillmore of Petersburg, and Sandra J. (Jerrold) Shockey of Springfield; one brother, Woodrow (Ruth) Knoles of Springfield; two sisters Elsie Heyen of Petersburg, and Dorothy (Junior) Eddings of Petersburg; five grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.

 

Her husband and three sisters precede her.

 

She was a past member of the Eastern Star. She was retired from Menard County Farm Service.
