Verna K. VanEtten 1920 - 2009
Verna K. VanEtten, 88, of Eureka, formerly of Easton, passed away at Eureka Community Hospital at 9:08 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. She was born November 1, 1920 in Kilbourne Twp. to William J and Laura Marie (Geuder) Williams. She married Wayne VanEtten on September 3, 1944 in Easton. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1991. Mrs. VanEtten is survived by two sons, David (Ursula) VanEtten, of Navarre, Florida and Larry (Cindey) VanEtten of Eureka, two sisters, Martha (Gary) Vance of New Boston, Missouri, Carolyn Matheny of Florida and one brother, William Williams of New Boston, Missouri. Verna was also blessed with seven grandsons, one granddaughter, four great grandsons and two great granddaughters. She was a member of the Easton United Methodist Church in Easton, IL. Funeral services will be held at her church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2009 with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Easton Cemetery. Rev.
