Virginia Powell

Alma Virginia Powell, 94, of Petersburg died May 13, 2005 at her residence. She was born January 14, 1911 to Walter and Anna Klor Kohl. She married Charles L. Powell. He preceded her in death.

She was member of the Petersburg Central Presbyterian Church, Petersburg Historical Society, on the board of the Master's Museum, Springfield Art Assoc. , Petersburg Library Board, American University Women, Petersburg Women's Club, and Questers Club of Petersburg. She was a school teacher near Springfield.

She is survived by a son Norman Powell, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, May 16, 2005 at the Petersburg Central Presbyterian Church at 10:00 a.m.. Visitation will be Sunday, May 15, 2005 at the Hurley Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the her church or the Petersburg Fire Dept.
